Raa Atoll - The Maldives

The Meedhupparu Island Resort is the only island resort in the Raa Atoll. The transfer from the Male International Airport to this island resort involves a 45-minute flight by seaplane and then a short boat ride. The resort itself has 215 air-conditioned rooms with 20 water villas.

There are many activities to be enjoyed in this resort. There are trips and tours in Meedhupparu and a spa where ayurvedic treatments are offered. Snorkelling, windsurfing, boating, and scuba diving are a few of the outdoor sports that tourists can enjoy on the Raa Atoll. Badminton, water polo, beach volleyball, and table tennis can also be played by Maldives resort guests. Kids can enjoy playing on the superb beaches of the Raa Atoll.

For hungry guests, there is plenty of choice available on the Raa Atoll. The Main Restaurant of the Meedhupparu Island Resort serves international food. The Specialty Restaurant serves local and Eastern cuisine. Pizza can be found in Pizza Pizza in the Kurumbe Village Resort, a nearby establishment, after a cruise around the islands. For a real taste of the Maldives, visitors can visit the Ugoofaaru Teashop which is near the hospital.    There are also many bars on the Raa Atoll. The Piano Bar in the Kurumbe Village Resort can be found after a cruise around the islands. The Hotel Bar in the Meedhupparu Island Resort has a disco and is great for a nightcap or a pre-dinner aperitif. The Beach Bar is yet another bar in the Meedhupparu Island Resort.
