Nilaveli boasts white sandy beaches that stretch all along the coast lapped by the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. This is also one of the best dive locations on Sri Lanka with its unique colourful coral reefs.

Water Sports & Diving

The hotel is surrounded by the sun, surf and sea as well as wetland habitat which provides a unique advantage when it comes to offering a range of water sports.

Diving

Colourful coral reefs or camera-shy sea creatures – dive in to find them all and capture them on camera during underwater photography dives. Be it a special kid’s dive, deep-sea dive, night time dive or even an adventurous dive to explore the nearby ship wrecks. PADI qualified Professional Divers are available to train and accompany you on a number of specialist dive packages, individually or in groups.

Watersports

With the Indian Ocean on your doorstep its not surprising that snorkelling, boat trips and windsurfing feature. In the sun-warmed shallow waters where food is in abundance shoals of fish flock literally a paradise for anglers, fish the waters of the Bay of Bengal, catch and fresh fish for dinner. From February to October there are also whale watching excursions.

The transfer time by private vehicle from the airport to Trincomalee is approximately six hours.
