Originally a sleepy fisherman’s village, Pattaya was discovered by tourists attracted to its wonderful beaches, warms waters, tropical climate and close proximity to Thailand’s fascinating capital city Bangkok. It has grown significantly since the first visitors arrived and now offers every possible facility, there are over twenty golf courses within one hours drive of the resort, which is also home to the largest shopping centre in Thailand. During the day many of the activities centre around the beach and the waters of the Gulf of Thailand whilst at night there are numerous restaurants, bars and night clubs. Bangkok is just a ninety minute bus journey, so it is possible to make Pattaya your base and still capture some of the magic of the bustling capital city with an excursion.
