Full Day - Wednesday & Friday - Coach Excursion

Enjoy the drive along the west coast via Tamarin Bay and its saltpans to the southwest corner of Mauritius. Here, at the old 'Chamarel' coffee factory situated at Case Noyale you will be able to taste the Mauritian coffee that has been roasted in the factory.
Our drive continues south through the villages of Le Morne and Baie du Cap and then along the narrow roads winding up the mountains. From high above the Indian Ocean the views of the island are breath taking.
Following views of the 90 metre Chamarel Falls you will be served a memorable gourmet lunch in a private hunting lodge, set amidst lush vegetation with panoramic views of the Black River Gorges. Following lunch we drive to the Black River Peak observation point, at 828 metres the highest point on the island.
We continue our excursion to the reconstructed 18th Century sugar plantation, Domaine Les Pailles. Visit the old sugar mill, the essential oil factory, the rum distillery and the tropical spice garden. Afternoon tea will be taken on the spacious veranda of Le Clos St. Louis, the estates manor house.
£110.00 per person includes refreshments, lunch & entrance fees.
