Full Day - Tuesday's & Wednesday's - Coach Excursion
We begin with a tour of the capital, Port Louis . From fort Adelaide, the old citadel above the city, you will enjoy a magnificent view over the city and the harbour. We will then decend in to the busy city centre including the noisy and hectic central market with its shouting merchants, intriguing array of aromas and the colourful displays of large varieties of tropical fruits and vegetables.
Only a short walk away we visit the Port Louis Waterfront, a modern and elegant shopping centre, where you will find the Blue Penny Museum, home to one of the rarest and most valuable stamps in the world, the 'Blue Penny'.
Discover the delicacies of a traditional Mauritius Creole lunch.
Our journey then leads us around the Moka and the Peter Both mountain and descends down the Long Mountain Road through the scenic countryside towards Ville Bague and the plains of the Pamplemousses. Here we'll explore the magnificent Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanical Garden, world renowned for its variety as well as the rarity of its species. A leisrely walk along the shady, well kept avenues is a real treat for body and soul.
