Half Day - Saturday - Coach Excursion
Our visit begins at the tiny hamlet of Malenga, situated behind the Moka mountain range and directly underneath the unmistakable Pieter Both peak, We descend downhill through the picturesque mountian village of Creve Coeur with views extending over the mountain ranges and green plains as far as 'Round Island' to the north.
Walk through this quiet and peaceful village until the path turns uphill again passing through various vegetable and sugar plantations to the crest of a small hill where the panoramic views become even more spectacular.
We continue our walk downhill in to the second valley, Vallee des Oretres, well known for its abundant mango plantations.
Finally, we visit two important religious and cultural sites; the shrine of Pere Laval, the most revered Catholic priest, a place of pilgrimage and prayer for many islanders, and also a visit to the most beautiful tamil temple on the island, Kailasson.
