Mauritius - Black River Gorges

The Black River Gorges National Park was created in 1994 for the protection of the remaining native forests of Mauritius. Visitors can discover magnificent landscapes, endemic plants and catch glimpses of rare bird species. A trail leads from the Petrin information centre to an unique area featuring only endemic flora and fauna.
