Booking Your Assistance
It is imperative that you discuss and notify your assistance requirements at the time of booking and no later than 48 hours before the date of your departure. Your assistance requirements will then be passed directly to the airline who will ensure the assistance you require is made available to you. You should also advise us if you intend to take your own mobility aid such as wheelchair, scooter etc. Some airline do not allow the carriage of some powered scooters or wheelchair
Parking
Disabled parking spaces are available in all Car Parks at Manchester Airport. A fully accessible bus service will transfer you to and from the Long Stay Car Parks. Help button facilities are located at Entrance and Exit barriers and also at Pay Stations.
Due to increased security measures vehicles are no longer able to park in front of the Terminal Building, but are able to drop passengers off at designated locations.
Departure from Manchester Airport
Passengers should arrive at the Airport no later than the minimum check-in time of three hours before departure.
Passengers requiring assistance into the Terminal are able to contact the airports service provider, OCS, by using the designated blue courtesy phones provided. These are located in areas such as; entrance doors to the Terminal Building (Departure Level) and the Bus and Rail Station. OCS will collect you and will assist you to the check-in desk.
Requesting Assistance
A Reception Point for Assistance is available in the check in hall of each Terminal. OCS is present to greet passengers and to coordinate assistance from this point to the departure gate.
These areas include enhanced seating, which is higher than standard seating and has retractable armrests to help passengers transfer in and out of their seat and flight information monitors.

Passengers may choose to remain in there own wheelchair or may choose to use one provided by OCS.
OCS has a range of specialist equipment to help you board your aircraft and will discuss your individual requirements and arrange the most appropriate type of help.
Assistance dogs
Guide and hearing dogs are the only dogs allowed into the Terminal Building except for those animals travelling on flights, providing they comply with the Pets Travel Scheme (PETS).
Your return journey
OCS staff will assist passengers from the aircraft, through Immigration to the Baggage Reclaim Hall. Once you have collected your baggage OCS will assist you to your final point of onward travel such as Car park, Bus and Rail Station.
