The southerly location of this international championship golf course sets it apart from others on the island, nestled on the coast on the Le Morne Peninsula, the distant shadow of the mysterious black volcanic rock of the Brabant mountain towers high in the blue sky. Throughout the course swaying palm trees wave their fronds in the balmy breezes and the clear waters of the Indian Ocean wash along the edge of the course on some holes adding to the magic, this truly must be Paradise, surely where the name was derived. In places local villagers stand at the waters edge, mesmerised gazing into the sea at their lines in the forlorn hope of catching dinner, oblivious to the battle taking place on the fairway. The course itself is forgiving and gentle with some large natural sand bunkers and water hazards to provide an opportunity to test yourself as you decide on each shot.
The facilities are excellent with a first class professional shop, which can provide equipment and buggy hire should you prefer not to walk - other facilities include a practice range and putting area. There is a small terrace bar overlooking the course where a welcome drink can be enjoyed at the end of your round.
