Flight Arrivals at London Gatwick

The arrivals areas are on the ground floor of the North Terminal and on the second floor of the South Terminal

On leaving the aircraft, follow signs for arrivals to go through passport control, baggage reclaim and Customs.

Catching a connecting flight? If your baggage is checked through to your final destination, follow the Flight connections signs when you leave the aircraft.

Passport control
Unless you're making a connecting flight you will first have to clear immigration and passport control - There are two separate queuing areas, one for British and European Union (EU) nationals and one for all other nationalities. Large queues can develop during busy times but please be patient, as there are now stringent checks to ensure security for visitors and UK residents alike.

Baggage reclaim
After passport control, follow the arrivals signs to the baggage reclaim area. The monitors will display your flight number against the carousel your baggage will appear on.
Please take care when lifting heavy bags and suitcases from the carousel and do use a baggage trolley if you need one - plenty are available in the reclaim hall.

Before you leave the baggage reclaim Hall check that the luggage you have is yours. Many suitcases and bags are very similar.

If your baggage is through-checked to your final destination, you do not need to collect it at Gatwick. It will continue to your final destination for Customs clearance.

If your baggage is not through-checked, you must collect your it at Gatwick. Follow signs to Baggage Reclaim - you will need to pass through Immigration on your way - and then proceed to the check-in desk for your next flight.
