Diving at Vadoo Island Resort

Surrounded by turquoise clear waters of the Indian Ocean and soft sandy white beaches the Vadoo Island Resort is a diver's paradise. Vadoo Island Resort is blessed with one of the best house reefs in the Maldives, the ocean around Vadoo is teaming with many a tropical fish.

The waters surrounding the resort are filled with beautiful coral formations and an abundance of fish such as Blue fin, Jack fish, Eagle rays, Trumpet fish plus many more.

Vadoo is the perfect place not just for the most experienced of divers, but its perfect from beginner through all diving abilities - its great for snorkelling as well.

There are many attractive dive sites in both the North and South Atoll close to the resort, which can be visited depending on the weather patterns, seasonal changes and your skill level.

At the northern most point, Sunlight Thila, is a famous dive site for manta rays and at the southern point you'll find the Embudu Express, with express streams giving divers the ride of a life time. Currents at the entrance attract a range of pelagic, large napoleon and eagle rays.

Other intersting sites include the Vadoo caves and the Canyon, both famous for their spectacular underwater scenery.

The Vadoo Diving Club has qualified instructors to guide you through the various PADI courses available.

House reef dives are available seven days a week from 7am until 5.30 pm, boat dives are twice a day, in the morning and afternoon.

At any given time a minimum of four instructors will be in attendance to provide guests with any assistance.
