Cultural Triangle - Sri Lanka

Many tourists base themselves on the west coast at one of the many beach resorts for the duration of their holiday - and why not they are beautiful regions filled with great hotels and fabulous resorts. However, Sri Lanka is not just a beach destination, so perhaps daytrip or an overnight tour may be in order for those who want a true cultural experience. It will take about three hours by car to reach Kandy or Dambulla from most of the west coast resort and a little longer to reach the jungle areas at Habarana, Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, and Sigiriya.
