Cultural Triangle - Sri Lanka

Anyone who visits Sri Lanka will soon learn of the island’s Cultural Triangle. The area represents the best of the islands rich history and is formed by the three World Heritage Sites at Anuradhapura, Sigiriya and Polonnaruwa each provides a fascinating insight into the islands unique heritage.

Climb the mighty Lion Rock Fortress at Sigiriya and be rewarded with a vista that reaches far into the Kandalama hills as you stand atop a natural rock high above the jungle floor.

In Polonnaruwa stand in awe of the 12th century Gal Vihare, colossal images of Buddha carved from local granite, wander around the fascinating ruins of the ancient capital of Anuradhapura.
