Once the headquarters for the Dutch Commander and later the billet for British Soldiers, the building which was converted to a hotel over one hundred and forty year ago has been completely refurbished and tastefully updated to provide accommodation representing outstanding comfort. The wonderful terrace overlooking famous Church Street with its avenue of para trees is the favourite meeting place and affords visitors a welcome shade from the searing midday sun serving an array of dishes from sumptuous local curries to simple snacks or that favourite refreshing drink.
