Air Seychelles is the national airline of the Republic of Seychelles and is in fact the smallest international airline in the world. The airline operates the only non-stop service between London and the Seychelles. Flights depart from Heathrow terminal 2 on Sunday and Friday and return from Mahe on Thursday and Saturday each week. The non-stop flying time between Heathrow and Mahe is 10 hours.
The National Carrier was officially created in 1978 as a domestic airline. International flights commenced in 1983 with a weekly flight from the Seychelles to London.
During the twenty years that have passed since the first international service began Air Seychelles has become an established international airline with one of the youngest fleets in the Indian Ocean, operating to seven destinations on three continents.
On international long-distance flights Air Seychelles operates two
Boeing 767, a twin jet engine half way between the size of a 757 and a 747. The aircraft features a spacious and comfortable layout, economical fuel consumption, low noise level, ultra-modern technology and digital avionics. The Air Seychelles fleet is maintained by British Airways in London. The Boeing 767-300ER (Extended Range) version operated by Air Seychelles carries 247 passagers for 11,320 kilometers.

Boeing has delivered more than 800 767s that are flown by approximately 80 operators around the world. The 767 family has accumulated more than 7.5 million flights and has carried millions of passengers.
